How many children can fit inside a moonbounce?

Between 8-12 kids at a time. The number varies upon the size of the moonbounce you’re interested in.

Are the moonbounces clean?

Yes. All of our units are thoroughly cleaned between each use. We are committed to making sure that your children have a clean, healthy, and safe environment in which to play. In addition to cleaning, we also safety check and troubleshoot all equipment before it goes out to another customer. This way, you’re always guaranteed a unit that is safe, clean, and in good working order.

 

What are the appropriate ages for entering a moonbounce?

The appropriate ages for bouncing are 2-14 years old. Some of the larger slides may not be appropriate for children under the age of 4 years old.

 

Do you set up in parks?

Yes. We do setup in parks. Our moonbounces are able to be set-up on grass, sand, asphalt, gravel, and bark, but MUST be on a leveled surface of the park. Before we can setup, there must be no rocks, sticks, tree stumps, pet droppings, muddy areas, bridges, low tree branches, and Low Power/Cable lines are not allowed in the surrounding of the position of the moonbounce. We also rent generators for parks without electricity.

 

How much room do I need?

Depending on the unit, you will need an area of approximately 18’x18’ that is level, clear of any rocks, sticks, roots,  etc that could puncture the bounce.  A vertical height that can allow at least 15’ of clearance is recommended.  If you have an in-ground sprinkler system, make sure it is turned off and the sprinkler heads are not engaged.

 

How much room do you need to bring the moonbouce in?

A standard walk through gate is fine. We’ll bring the unit rolled up and it will be wheeled in on a standard hand truck. If a person can walk through, the moonbounce will be able to go through as well.

 

Does it need electricity? How much does it use?

Yes. We will bring a 50 or 100 foot extension cord with us, so you’ll need an outlet near the setup area. The blower runs continuously. We also have generators if an electrical outlet is not available.   NOTE: All blowers and wiring are safety checked before leaving the warehouse.

 

How does the bounce stay inflated?

The bounce is inflated with a fully enclosed blower motor unit that must stay on the entire time the bounce unit is being used. The design of the blower is such that no moving parts are exposed. This is a very important safety feature that you should take into account whenever considering a rental.

 

What time do you deliver and pickup moonbounces?

Depends on your rental time.  The typical ranges of rental time are 2 or 3 hours to all day (7 or 8 hours). You decide on the specific time you want the moonbounce set up and we’ll be there 45 minutes before the start time. Also, you do not pay for our setup time, all rental periods are jumping time only. Pick up is based on the number of hours you rent for. Special arrangements can be made if you need to leave (example: dinner, or another party) by a certain time, just let us know. 

 

What are your hours of operation?

Our customer support lines are open continually on the weekday and weekend.  If you happen to get voicemail, the calls are retrieved hourly.

 

How far in advance do I need to order?

We suggest 3-5 weeks in advance before your scheduled event for our standard moon bounces. However, we generally have inventory available for last minute bookings.  All units are booked on a first come, first serve basis, regardless of payment status.

 

How do I reserve a unit?

You may make a reservation in one of 3 ways:
Go to “Reservations” page on our website and fill out our online order form.  Call (240) 351-3281.
Fill out our online order form, then print it out to fax it to our office. Our fax number is (301) 297-JUMP.

 

When will my reservation be confirmed?

We will provide final confirmation of equipment availability within 24 hours of your request. We will then tentatively reserve your unit, mail, fax or email you a rental agreement and Safety Rules and Regulations agreement for you to sign and return. Once we have received your signed documents and your deposit, we will finalize your reservation.

 

How can I pay for the unit?

Bounce Haven accepts cash, a check or you may charge your rental to your Visa, MasterCard or American Express. Payment is due in full at the time of setup. The delivery person will provide you with a copy of the rules, review the safety procedures with you and collect final payment prior to setting up the unit.

 

Can I cancel my reservation?

We realize that plans can change and we will gladly refund 100% of your deposit when provided with at least 7 days notice prior to your reservation date. If provided less than 7 days notice, we will not refund deposits. Weather related cancellations are only determined on the day of the rental and will result in a complete refund of any deposit.

 

What if it is windy or rainy on the day of my reservation?

If the local forecast is calling for high winds (> 15 MPH), or rain on the morning of your reservation, we will contact you via phone to reschedule your reservation for another day or to provide a refund of your deposit. Rescheduling is based on availability for the day requested. If you feel that rain or wind is a concern, please bring this to our attention PRIOR to your bounce being set up. No Refunds will be provided once the bounce is set up. Bounce Haven reserves the right to cancel a rental and provide a full refund of your deposit if it is raining or rain is inevitable.

 

What do I do in the event that we receive unexpected rain or high winds (>15 MPH) during our rental?

Given the frequency of afternoon thundershowers and storms in our area, this is a valid concern. It is important to remember that the bounce blower is powered by electricity and that electricity and water don't mix well. If rain is encountered, ask everyone to quickly and calmly exit the bounce. Once it is emptied, unplug the blower and allow the unit to deflate. DO NOT USE THE UNIT IN HEAVY RAIN OR HIGH WINDS! Once the weather has passed, plug the blower back in, allow the unit to inflate and have an adult dry the interior with a towel. This is very important, as the vinyl is very slippery when wet. Once dry, the bounce can be utilized again.

 

What do we do if there is an emergency?

In the case of an emergency, have everyone exit the bounce calmly and quickly contact Bounce Haven at (240) 351-3281.

 

Does Bounce Haven have insurance?

Definitely! Due to the high cost of insurance, there are many companies out there that choose to not carry insurance coverage. However, at Bounce Haven, we believe that this is the most important requirement for running a moonbounce rental business. As such, we are fully insured with a liability insurance policy covering injury due to Bounce Haven gross negligence. This statement in no way implies legal responsibility. Please read your rental agreement. We are happy to provide a copy of our insurance binder upon request.

 

What are my responsibilities as the renter of the bounce?

Our contract requires that an adult be home when the bounce is setup. We will review the features of the bounce with this individual, as well as our safety regulations. Additionally, we will review our emergency procedures with this individual at the time of setup. An adult MUST accompany the bounce anytime the bounce is inflated. This person is responsible for the safety of the children, as well as, the care of the equipment by making sure that ALL safety rules and regulations are followed. Aside from safety items, it is the responsibility of the renter to provide for electrical power within 75ft of the bounce and a level, open area to set up in.

 

Can you provide an attendant with our rental?

Absolutely! We will happily provide an attendant for your rental to free you from having to worry about who is watching the bounce. This must be requested at least 10 days prior to your reservation day.  Attended rentals have an hourly attendant charge.  Please contact us regarding pricing.

 

Do you provide special pricing to schools, churches and other non-profit organizations?

Absolutely! Please email us or call us at (240) 351-3281 for details. We would love to work with you. Please note that a moonbounce can make a great compliment to a non-profit fundraiser, such as a carwash or other event. While the parents are getting the car washed, it provides some fun for the kids and also provides instant "curb appeal" for your function.

 

Can I order overnight?

Yes. The moonbounce must be setup in a backyard or area that is fenced or locked up. The fence must be at least 4 ft. tall. There will be an additional charge to this service. Bounce Haven reserves the right to deny any event of this service. Bounce Haven also reserves the right to cancel the overnight portion of any event at any time if we have any reason to believe that our property is at a risk of injury or theft.

 

Is it cheaper if we pickup the moonbounces ourselves?

No. In fact, Bounce Haven does not allow this. All of our drivers are trained as professional installers and are certified by Bounce Haven to be the exclusive installer for our equipment. Where the safety of your children is concerned, it is always best to leave it up to the professionals. In addition to this, the liability insurance that we carry does not permit unauthorized set up or moving of our equipment.
